National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy Examination (I), 2010

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will hold the NDA and Naval Academy Examination, 2009 on 18th April, 2010 for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wing of the NDA for the 125th Course and Naval Academy for the 45th 10+2 (Executive Branch) Course commencing from December 30 th 2010. Only Unmarried male candidates are eligible.

Eligibility

Age : 16 and half to 19 years i.e. born between 02/01/1992 and 01/07/1994

Educational Qualification

1. For Army : 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

2. For Air Force, Navy and Naval Academy : 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University with Physics and Mathematics subjects

3. Candidates who are appearing in the 12th exam can also apply.

4. Physical Standards : Candidates must be physically fit according to the Regulations given in notice.

Application Form : The candidates must apply in the Common Application Form devised by the Commission for its examinations, which can be purchased from the designated Head Post Offices/ Post offices throughout the country against cash payment of Rs. 20/- only. 1. Age : Between 16-1/2 to 19 years (candidates to be born between 02 January 1991 to 01 July 1993 both dates inclusive).

2. Educational Qualifications : Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 pattern) or its equivalent from University/Board with at least 75% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and at least 50% marks in English either in class X or class XII.

Conditions of Eligibility

Age Limits, Sex and Marital Status

For Indian Millitary Academy : Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1987 and not later than 1st January 1992 only are eligible.

For Naval Academy : Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1989 (2nd January, 1987 in case of NCC Naval wing ‘C’ certificate holders) and not later than 1st January 1992 only are eligible.

For Air Force Academy : Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1988 and not later than 1st January 1992 only are eligible.

For Officers’ Training Academy - (SSC Course for Men) : Male candidates (Unmarried or Married) born not earlier than 2nd January, 1986 and not later than 1st January 1992 only are eligible.

For Officers Training Academy - SSC (Women Non- Technical) Course : (a) Unmarried Women, issueless widows who have not remarried, and issueless divercees (in possession of diveorce documents) who have not remarried are eligible. They should have been not earlier than 2nd January, 1986 and not later than 1st January, 1992.

Educational Qualifications

For Indian Millitary Academy and Officers’ Training Academy : Degree of a recognised university or equivalent.

For Naval Academy : B.Sc. (with Physics & Mathematics ) or Bachelor of Engineering.

For Air Force Academy : Degree of a recognised university (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.

Note : Candidates who are studying in final year Degree Course and yet to pass final year degree examination or equivalent examination can also apply for the Examination, but they will be required to submit proof of passing the Degree Examination or equivalent examination by the specified dates.

Physical Standards : Candidates must be physically fit according to the physical standards for admission to combined Defence Services Examination (CDS) (I), 2010 as prescribed in the detailed advertisement.
